During Bayern Munich's 35th Bundesliga championship celebrations, a prank by 1860 Munich supporters stole the spotlight. The celebrations took place at the Marienplatz Square, where the crowd was joined by the team's players.
A massive banner, featuring Bayern Munich's logo, was lifted above the gathered fans. As the banner was passed from hand to hand, it revealed a playful insult directed at the club.
Instead of the usual "FC Bayern Munich," the banner read "FC Bauern H...," which translates to "FC Farmer H...," a humorous and insulting play on the club's name.
A small "1860" on the banner revealed the prank was staged by supporters of the rival club. The banner was clearly visible from above, and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer alerted the stadium announcer, Stephan Lehmann, who made a public request to cover the banner.
Though the banner was eventually covered, the prank by 1860 Munich supporters remains a memorable moment in the celebrations.
This prank was genius and hilarious, but do you think it was disrespectful? Or is it all in good fun between rivals?
