On May 10, Muğlaspor secured their promotion to the Trendyol 1st League by defeating Elazığspor 8-7 in a penalty shootout at the Matlı Stadium in Bursa Atatürk Sports Complex. The team, representing Muğla in the Regional Amateur League (BAL) during the 2022-2023 season, has demonstrated consistent success in advancing to higher leagues each year, now standing at the threshold of the Super League.
CELEBRATIONS WITH KURDISH SONGS AND HALAY DANCE
This weekend, Muğlaspor celebrated their championship with a city tour followed by a central celebration at the Muğla Open Auto Market. The festivities were marked by Kurdish songs, which were performed in the presence of the Muğla governor, members of parliament, mayors of the city and district, bureaucrats, and leaders of political parties. The fans joined in the singing, while the players responded to the music with traditional halay dances. The night culminated with a performance by singer Simge Sağın.
This is a beautiful way to celebrate diversity and tradition! It shows that sports can unite people across cultures. Who else is doing something similar to bring communities together?
