Most Successful Bulgarian Billiards Player Reclaims Top Spot

The second round of the National Billiards Federation's 2026 championship was marked by exceptionally contested matches, professional organization, and serious audience interest. The best players in the country competed in Elite A and B divisions, with the championship again demonstrating that Bulgarian billiards is advancing steadily.

The livestream of the A group matches drew a substantial audience, allowing fans across the country to follow the most important matches live. The final provided tension, quality, and atmosphere worthy of an international stage.

Champion in the Elite A division was Georgi Georgiev from SK Akademiya, with his teammate Dilian Tiklev securing silver. Third place was shared by Emil Micev from SK Django and Zhivko Petkov from SK Hot Shot.

This is Georgiev's second consecutive national title, solidifying his status as the best Bulgarian player. Over the years, he has demonstrated his class not only in Bulgaria but also at international tournaments, representing the country at the highest level. With his style of play, mental toughness, and professionalism, Georgiev has become an emblematic figure in Bulgarian billiards and an inspiration to younger players.

In Division B, the victory was claimed by Zhelyazko Bachchevanov from SK Starshel, ahead of Venetsislav Daskalov from SK Plovdiv, with bronze medals going to Vasil Stoianov from SK Plovdiv and Tsvetan Petrov from SK Gabrovo.

Division B again offered serious competition and many emotions, with new names in the tournament showing a high level of play and demonstrating that the future of Bulgarian billiards looks promising.

Following the end of the tournament, a special giveaway for the event's viewers and followers was launched, with the grand prize — a Predator professional cue — generating huge interest among the billiards community.
