A full-size monument of Pope Francis was unveiled in Rakovski, Bulgaria, in the presence of two monsignors, several priests, and local officials. The statue stands outside the "Sacred Heart of Jesus" church in the "General Nikolaev" district of Rakovski. The unveiling ceremony was attended by Rakovski’s mayor, Pavel Gudjerev, and former deputy Mladen Shishkov.

The monument commemorates the seventh anniversary of Pope Francis' visit to the city and marks one year since his death. "This was one of the most impressive visits to our city. Pope Francis symbolizes unity, peace, and faith – virtues he constantly preached," explained Mayor Pavel Gudjerev.

The bronze statue, 2.20 meters tall, with a pedestal of 1.50 meters, was crafted by Dishko Dishkov from Sopot. The initiative was led by Mayor Pavel G. Gudjerev.
