Modern Pentathlon World Cup Praises Pazardzhik's Hosting Efforts
During a press conference at the Pazardzhik municipality, Rob Stuull, the president of the International Modern Pentathlon Federation, praised the city for its excellent hosting of the World Cup. The World Cup, being held at the "Balona" complex in the city, has attracted a record number of participants—93 women and 115 men from around the world.
Joining Rob Stuull at the press conference were Shainy Fan, the general secretary of the International Modern Pentathlon Federation, and Kamelia Aleksandrova, the general secretary of the Bulgarian Modern Pentathlon Federation.
“I want to congratulate the Pazardzhik municipality and the Bulgarian Modern Pentathlon Federation for organizing this World Cup so well. Mr. Andrey Kuzmanov has created a truly unique pentathlon park where all spectators can watch the competitions without leaving their seats. This is indeed a remarkable achievement and deserves praise,” Stuull said.
Pazardzhik Mayor Petar Kuleshki stated that the city has made significant efforts to ensure that the facilities are in excellent condition and that the local public can watch the elite athletes up close.
Andrey Kuzmanov, president of the Bulgarian Modern Pentathlon Federation, thanked the International Federation for the high praise and emphasized that over the past few months, he and his team have done everything necessary to ensure excellent conditions for the athletes and to make them feel comfortable in Pazardzhik.
The qualifying rounds for the men's competition are currently taking place, with the semifinals scheduled for Friday and Saturday, and the finals and awarding ceremony set for Sunday. The women's competition starts at 10:00, and the men's at 14:00. Entry for spectators is free.
