The Walkout at Partizan

The drama in Belgrade has reached a boiling point. Predrag Mijatović, the club's vice-president for sports affairs, has handed in his resignation following the general assembly of FK Partizan. But this was no quiet exit. This was a statement. Standing before the media, Mijatović did not mince words about the current managerial situation. He placed the entire blame squarely on the shoulders of head coach Srđan Blagojević.

The November Betrayal

Let’s rewind. Mijatović claims he initiated the move to sack Blagojević back in November. The consensus was there. Everyone agreed. Yet, in a twist that defies logic, Blagojević was reinstated against Mijatović’s explicit wishes. Now, the vice-president is done playing politics. "Hypothetically, Blagojević is our coach with a one-year contract," Mijatović stated. "But I believe he is not adequate for Partizan’s sports project."
