The club's success in the league was further cemented by a 5-0 victory against the main rival, U Cluj, securing the title at home. Mihai Rotaru (52) expressed great satisfaction with the transfer campaign of the season, especially the work of Mirel Rădoi. Filipe Coelho has been working intensively to finalize the details before the new transfer window opens, promising a summer of top transfers for Craiova.

“There are people managing the transfer campaign. Mirel has worked very well, and Filipe is working very well. For the past 3-4 months, we have had prepared solutions, we have a shadow team. We have 3-4 options for each position. If we manage this moment well, we will go up. I hope we manage it well,” said Mihai Rotaru in an interview with Digi Sport.

The club will have funds for transfers due to the substantial sum received for winning the league and the Romanian Cup. On May 13, 2026, Craiova secured a significant victory in the cup, earning 240,000 euros, a large portion of which will go to the players. The club has secured 2.7 million euros for the title, with additional bonuses from sponsors. If Craiova secures a place in the Champions League, it would guarantee an additional 20 million euros.
