Maja Ognjenović has returned to the Serbian national women's volleyball team, a significant boost as the season resumes. Coach Zoran Terzić has announced a 30-player list for the Nations League, which will serve as preparation for the European Championship and the Olympic Games qualification battle in Los Angeles. The return of one of the most experienced and trophy-laden Serbian players represents a major strengthening for the national team as they face a long and demanding representative summer.

Serbia will start the Nations League season in early June in Nanjing, China, where they will face Thailand, Poland, China, and Belgium. The team will then move on to a tournament in the Philippines, with matches against Japan, Italy, the Dominican Republic, and the USA, while the third week will be played in the Belgrade Arena from July 8th to 12th.

The main challenge for the Serbian volleyball team will be the European Championship, which will be held at the end of August and the beginning of September in Turkey, the Czech Republic, Azerbaijan, and Sweden. Serbia will play the group stage in Brno against the Czech Republic, Austria, Ukraine, Bulgaria, and Greece, with the European title granting direct qualification to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
