Vesna Magazinovic, Chairperson of the SDP Caucus in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has sent an open letter to Luigi Soreca, the Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Bosnia and Herzegovina. In her letter, Magazinovic calls for an end to the "humiliation and harassment" of Bosnian citizens at EU border crossings.
The issue of difficulties faced by citizens at EU borders has been a persistent concern in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Magazinovic's letter highlights the emotional and psychological impact these border checks have on citizens, who often report feeling degraded and mistreated. This problem not only affects personal dignity but also impedes the free movement of citizens, a fundamental right within the EU.
Magazinovic emphasizes the importance of addressing these issues promptly to ensure that Bosnian citizens can travel freely and without fear of mistreatment. She urges Soreca to collaborate with border authorities to improve the conditions and treatment of travelers.
