Marko Livaja, the 32-year-old captain and top scorer for Hajduk, had his worst performance in a 1-1 draw against Lokomotiv in the penultimate round of the SHNL. Since returning to the club in February 2021, Livaja has been a symbol for Hajduk, scoring 104 goals and setting up 50 in 202 matches. However, his performance on Thursday was his worst since rejoining the club.

In the match against Lokomotiv, Livaja missed a penalty in the 61st minute and was substituted four minutes later. Livaja commented on his performance, saying, "I had the best chance of the match, and I missed the penalty. I want to apologize to my teammates and the club. Simply, it was not my day." This season, Livaja has scored 11 goals and set up seven in 32 appearances.
