Robert Lewandowski, 37, delivered an emotional farewell speech to Barcelona fans and the club after his final match at Camp Nou against Real Betis. The Polish striker announced in June that he would leave the Catalan club after four seasons, as reported by Marca.

After the match, teammates carried Lewandowski on their shoulders and gave him a guard of honor. The Polish star was visibly emotional and could not hold back his tears. Before addressing the stands, club president Joan Laporta, also in tears, presented him with the club’s badge.

Lewandowski joined Barcelona in the summer of 2022 from Bayern Munich for a fee of 45 million euros. He shone in Barcelona, scoring 119 goals and providing 24 assists in 192 matches, contributing significantly to Barcelona’s three La Liga titles in the last four years.

"Long live Barca and long live Catalonia!"

The legendary goalscorer then delivered a speech that, according to Marca, moved every Barcelona fan to tears: "Thank you for coming, this is a very emotional and difficult day. When I arrived, I knew the club was big, but with your love, it became incredible. From the first day, I felt at home in Barcelona and on this stadium," Lewandowski said.

"Thank you to my teammates, coaches, and all club employees. It was an honor to play for this club. We've had glorious moments in these four years, and I'm very proud of everything we achieved together. Today, I bid farewell, but I will always carry you in my heart. Once a Barcelonista, always a Barcelonista. Thank you very much, long live Barca and long live Catalonia!" the Polish striker declared.

During his farewell on the field, he was supported by his wife and daughters, and a banner was unfurled from the Camp Nou stands with the message: "Robert, everything started with you."
