Robert Lewandowski has won his third title with Barcelona, but it may also be his last. The striker’s contract with the club expires at the end of June, and there is still no clarity on whether he will renew it. It seems that the Pole is preparing for a farewell.
“There might be an option to play in a lower league. I’m almost 38, but I feel physically good, so I’m considering it. I need to consider the possibility that the moment has come to play and enjoy life. Such an opportunity might arise, and I don’t rule out this option,” Lewandowski stated after the 2-0 victory over Real Madrid.
“I just found out that I have 51 days left on my contract, so I still have time. I will listen to a few more offers and then decide. I value the place where I am and enjoy my stay here. We will see what happens, but one thing is clear – I will continue to play,” added Lewandowski.
Lewandowski's decision to potentially play in a lower league at 38 is bold and exciting. Will he choose to play for passion or switch to a new challenge? Only time will tell, but I can't wait to see where his next chapter takes him!
