Levadiakos made an impressive showing against Volos, scoring five goals in Libadia and climbing back to the top of the attacking leaderboard in the Stoiximan Super League. The match took place at the Municipal Stadium of Levadia Lampros Katsounis, with a back-and-forth nature from the start. Volos attempted to threaten, but goalkeeper Lucas Anacker kept Levadiakos in the game with solid performances.
In the 21st minute, Ozbolt opened the scoring with an assist from Tsivelkidis. This was the 11th league goal of the season for Ozbolt and put Levadiakos ahead. Shortly after, in the 32nd minute, Palasio made it 2-0, bringing his season tally to 8 goals.
In the second half, Levadiakos stepped up their game even more. In the 56th minute, following a handball call on Lagios, Ozegkowitz executed a penalty to make it 3-0. Filon entered the game in the 70th minute and changed the pace. In the 72nd minute, he made a good play and won another penalty. Vichos took it and scored, bringing the score to 4-0. Volos did not give up and found two goals in the 81st and 90th minutes, bringing the final score to 4-2.
In stoppage time, Filon won a third penalty for his team. Liakos took the shot and sealed the final score at 5-2.
With this win, Levadiakos remains in 5th place and at the top of the attacking leaderboard for positions 5 through 8. The team of Nikos Papadopoulos has now scored 57 goals in the league, maintaining the best offensive record of the season.
