Leroy Sane, who joined Galatasaray on a free transfer at the start of the season, has revealed that his transfer to the Turkish club was a decision he made six months in advance. The 30-year-old German international, who has become one of the most talked-about signings in the world, shared his thoughts on his move during an interview with TV100.
"Even before my contract expired, I was contacted by several clubs," Sane said. "However, I was solely focused on finishing the season. Abdullah Ağabey (Kavukcu) reached out to me six months before my contract ended. At that point, I had already made up my mind because Galatasaray gave me a very positive feeling."
This season, Sane has made 43 appearances for Galatasaray across all competitions, contributing seven goals and nine assists. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is currently 22 million euros.
