An Iranian military official has stated that the resumption of conflict with the United States is a possibility, following Donald Trump's rejection of Tehran's latest peace overture.

Iran's Military Stance

Brigadier General Mohammad Jafar Asadi, a spokesperson for the Iranian military command, made the assertion, emphasizing that the US has shown a pattern of not adhering to any promises or agreements. "The facts show that the United States does not uphold any commitments or understandings," Asadi declared.

This statement comes amid ongoing tensions between Iran and the US, which have escalated in recent years. The Trump administration's decision to withdraw from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), commonly known as the Iran nuclear deal, in 2018, marked a significant deterioration in relations between the two countries.

The recent rejection of Iran's peace proposal by the US administration underscores the persistent diplomatic challenges and the potential for renewed hostilities. The statement by General Asadi highlights Iran's growing frustration with the US's approach to the region and its policies towards Iran.
