Spanish football legend Andres Iniesta is embarking on a new chapter in his career, stepping into the world of coaching. After initial speculation about a potential coaching role earlier this year, Iniesta has officially taken the helm of Gulf United, a second division club in the United Arab Emirates.

One of the best midfielders of his generation, Iniesta will now lead a team for the first time following a brilliant playing career. Iniesta spent his final days as a player with Emirates Club in the UAE, and now he's returning to the same country to begin a new professional phase. This move ends speculation that had linked him with Moroccan clubs.

The Journey from Barcelona to Coaching

In the last few years, Iniesta has repeatedly expressed his desire to stay involved in football even after retiring as a player, with coaching seen as a natural progression. He spent most of his career with Barcelona, wearing the club's shirt from 2002 to 2018. With the Catalan club, he won almost everything, including four Champions League titles and nine La Liga crowns.

Iniesta cemented his place in the history of world football in 2010 when he scored the winning goal in the World Cup final against the Netherlands. After leaving Barcelona, he played for Japanese club Vissel Kobe and concluded his playing career in the United Arab Emirates.
