The championship race is currently led by Marius Stafylpatis and Giorgos Chatziregas, but the Historic Rally Acropolis could overturn the standings in just three days.

The Historic Rally Acropolis is not just another event in the program; it's a turning point for the Panhellenic Rally Championship of Historical Cars. The event will take place in Lamia from May 22 to 24 and carries significant weight. It is the second round of the European Rally Championship of Historical Cars and the third round of the Greek championship.

The rally's multiplier is three, meaning its scores could play a pivotal role in the championship. A good result here could give a massive boost, while a mistake could cost dearly.

Stafylpatis and Chatziregas head into the rally as the team everyone is chasing. They have been on top of the championship from the start of the season and have demonstrated their strong condition. In the Rally Lamia, they secured all the special stages with a BMW M3 E30 and claimed their first clean victory of the season. Behind them, Panagiotis Koutsikos and Alexandros Mataliotakis finished with a Ford Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4, while third place went to Lypertis Papazoglu and Maria Nikolopoulou with a Lancia Delta Integrale.

At the Sterea Ellada Rally, the picture did not change. Stafylpatis and Chatziregas won again, this time with a Lancia Delta Integrale 16V. Second place went to Alexandros Christodoulou and Athanassios Samaras with a Lancia 037 Rally, while Koutsikos and Mataliotakis climbed the podium again.
