The Serbian deaf chess team has achieved a historic success at the World Team Championship held in the coastal town of Roquetas de Mar, Spain. The Serbian team won a silver medal in classical chess and a bronze medal in rapid and blitz competitions. This marks one of the greatest achievements in deaf sports in Serbia, with a total of three medals won.

Jovan Pavićević, the youngest member of the team, particularly stood out by winning a silver medal in individual blitz chess, further confirming his significant talent. Throughout the championship, Serbia demonstrated quality, confidence, and intense competition against some of the strongest teams in the world.

The Serbian representation was made up of Dragan Moldovanović, Dragan Živić, Rade Čimesa, Đerđ Tapei, Miloš Tonić, and Jovan Pavićević. The Serbian Deaf Sports Association reported that these results are a testament to the dedication of the team, the coaching staff, and the association.
