Trabzonspor secured the Ziraat Turkey Cup by defeating Konyaspor in the final with a 2-1 victory. Hasan Al provided a detailed review of the match for Cumhuriyet.

Final matches are always tough. The stress has a negative impact, reducing the effectiveness of players who are under heavy expectations while allowing those expected to do less to stand out.

The star of the match was Bouchouari, who was in excellent form in recent weeks. "He took control of the midfield," Hasan Al commented. Bouchouari was present both in attack and defense, playing a perfect dual-sided game. Trabzonspor has gained a valuable player. Fatih Tekke was right to claim Bouchouari was worth it, as the quality of such a player cannot be bought with money.

Trabzonspor dominated the game, controlling the match and ensuring possession through long passes. Konyaspor, on the other hand, conceded the game entirely to their own half. They aimed to first stop Trabzonspor and then use quick counter-attacks to score.

However, Konyaspor neither managed to stop Trabzonspor nor create goal-scoring positions. Their first-half performance was subpar and did not fit the final stage. Their inability to create even a single goal-scoring position is a clear indicator of the poor quality of their play.

Trabzonspor's goal also signaled the path they should take in future transfers. The triangle formed by Pina and Zubkov on the right side was never successfully replicated on the left. Trabzonspor created numerous attacks from the right but showed no presence on the left side. Mustafa struggled to get into the center and lacked a left foot.

Pina could not drop into the middle and support the play. In future transfers, Trabzonspor should prioritize acquiring a left-back and a left-winger.

Konyaspor converted their first position into a goal in the second half, immediately followed by a chance to score a penalty. However, Barhdi missed the penalty, which could have put Trabzonspor on the back foot. Instead, Trabzonspor's morale soared after missing the penalty, taking the lead after a clean penalty.

There was a significant power difference between the two teams. Konyaspor never managed to challenge Trabzonspor at any point in the match.

Onana, Zubkov, Nwaiwu, and Pina were among the standout players for Trabzonspor. Pina, in particular, showcased excellent use of the right flank. He provided beautiful examples of what a flank player should be.

I could say this is Trabzonspor's most comfortable cup win in its history. In the last 10 minutes, Trabzonspor relaxed, while Konyaspor threw themselves recklessly forward. Even if the game had continued until morning, the outcome would not have changed.

Halil Umut Meler delivered an excellent match management, demonstrating the quality to officiate at the world cup. However, if the MHK consistently assigns major matches to Yasin Kol while neglecting Meler, this is the outcome we can expect.

I congratulate Trabzonspor on securing the cup with their wrist's rightful claim.
