UAE Emirates-XRG continued their resurgence in the Giro d'Italia with a second victory by Jhonatan Narváez in Stage 8, demonstrating their resilience after a challenging start to the race. Narváez's success marks the team's third win in eight stages.

In the final stretch to Fermo, Narváez showcased his climbing prowess, outpacing his breakaway companions Andreas Leknessund (Uno-X Mobility) and teammate Mikkel Bjerg. Leknessund managed to stick with Narváez but ultimately faded on the challenging terrain, finishing 32 seconds behind. His teammate Martin Tjøtta secured third place.

"It was a nice stage for me," said Narváez. "The first part was really difficult, but I think we played well with my teammate. Mikkel Bjerg was the man of the day for me. He is always working for the team and does a lot behind the scenes."

The winning move was initiated inside the final 78km, with Narváez and his companions fending off a persistent chase group. Narváez previously won Stage 4, while teammate Igor Arrieta triumphed in Stage 5. Despite the absence of GC contenders Adam Yates, Jay Vine, and Marc Soler, the team's fighting spirit remains strong.
