Tamaș, a former Romanian international with 67 caps and three goals for the national team, has recently returned from participating in a reality TV show. He previously served as the sports director at Concordia Chiajna.

He also played for clubs such as Dinamo București, Galatasaray, Spartak Moscow, and Celta Vigo.
