Prominent Serbian paralympian and artist Dejana Bačko, known for her inspiring and positive presence, has shared her joy over a significant life milestone with her family. Along with her husband Marko Nezić and their daughter Lara, Dejana has welcomed a new family home.

Dejana and Marko have generously shared initial images from their new residence on social media, showcasing the unpacking and organizing process. They revealed that they have managed to purchase two properties, a remarkable achievement, especially considering that they were living as renters just six years ago.

"Six years ago, we were renting an old apartment, but now we have our family and two properties we've earned ourselves. We set goals, work hard, and plan. When small hands come together, everything is possible, everything is possible," Dejana wrote in her post.

Recent Loss of a Baby

Recently, Dejana and Marko shared the heartbreaking news of losing their baby at four months of pregnancy. In an emotional post with a photo from the hospital, she explained how the doctor had noticed something was wrong during a regular check-up on Tuesday.

"Our baby did not have developed upper extremities, and although the heart was beating, it had a serious cardiac defect," Dejana wrote, noting the difficulty of finding the right words for such a moment.

Despite the unimaginable grief, Dejana, who was born without arms but does everything as if she had them, expressed gratitude to the medical staff for helping her make the toughest decision. She emphasized her understanding of the battles she had faced throughout her life and wished no one would experience the same path.

During the painful days in the hospital, Dejana found the greatest strength and comfort in her husband and daughter. To bring a moment of joy, her daughter would send her videos from home where she was creating "tricks" with a plush teddy bear. Dejana touched the hearts of her audience by emphasizing how grateful she and her husband are to have a healthy, smart, and beautiful daughter, who is their greatest treasure and daily reminder of the preciousness of life.
