Visła from Kraków has chosen to return to the top tier of Polish football and is already seeking reinforcements for the upcoming season to avoid another relegation.
A new face for Visła's goalkeeping could be Aleksandar Popović. According to Polish portal Goal, the former Partizan goalkeeper is on Visła's wish list following his excellent performances in the DAC Štúrovo jersey.
Popović moved to Slovakia from Partizan in the summer of 2023, and for DAC Štúrovo, he recorded 89 appearances, keeping the net clean in 23 matches, which caught the attention of Visła's scouts.
Polish media reports that Visła will face competition from Slovan Bratislava, the current Slovak champions, who are also seeking a new goalkeeper. An additional reason why Popović is interesting to clubs is that his contract expires in June, allowing him to change teams as a free agent.
Aleksandar Popović rose through the ranks at Partizan, where he played 92 matches for the first team and won the Serbian Cup.
