Fiorentina Finishes Season with Draw Against Atalanta

In a season marred by challenges, Fiorentina concludes their Serie A campaign well clear of the relegation zone. The final match of the season saw "The Viola" draw 1-1 with Atalanta at home. Roberto Piccoli opened the scoring in the 39th minute, and the match ended in a draw thanks to an own goal by Pietro Comuzzo in the 82nd minute.

A Season of Survival

Paolo Vanoli's team struggled for much of the season, fighting for survival. However, with only one loss in their last 11 league matches, they finished 14th, secure before the final round of matches. Atalanta, meanwhile, secured seventh place and a spot in the Europa Conference League.

A Back-and-Forth Match

Atalanta started the match aggressively, with early chances. In the 17th minute, Raspadori missed from a good position. Soon after, a shot by Samardzic was saved by Oliver Kristensen, who had replaced David De Gea. Despite the pressure, Atalanta failed to capitalize on their chances.

Fiorentina struck first in the 39th minute when Piccoli scored after a well-executed move. Despite some stellar saves by Atalanta's goalkeeper, the match was leveled in the 82nd minute when Comuzzo inadvertently scored an own goal.
