EuroLeague Final Four semifinalists Fenerbahçe Beko will face Olympiakos on May 22, 2026. In a recent interview with the "Final Four Talk" program, Fenerbahçe’s star player Tarık Biberovic shared his thoughts on the upcoming match and the team’s coach Sarunas Jasikevicius.
Biberovic emphasized Olympiakos’s prowess, stating, "Olympiakos may be one of the best teams in Europe over the last five to six years. They have a solid system and know what they’re doing. They don’t panic when chaos hits, and that’s crucial in basketball."
Reflecting on previous encounters, he noted that their last match was less competitive due to injuries to key players like Nando and Chris Silva, and Khem Birch’s health issues. Biberovic stressed that the focus now is on the team’s mindset and energy level.
He also praised Jasikevicius, saying, "He’s such a good coach that you don’t think of him as a player anymore. He prepares us mentally and physically for the Final Four, which is crucial. His coaching is intense, and he focuses on every mistake we make because he understands its impact on the future."
Biberovic’s high regard for Jasikevici’s coaching methods is evident. He described the training sessions as so intense that it feels like he has drunk 10 cups of coffee before arriving.
