Fenerbahçe Beko is set to compete in the Euroleague Final Four in Athens, aiming to secure Turkey's 20th European basketball title. The men’s and women’s teams of the club have already made significant contributions to this tally over the years.

Turkish Basketball's European Milestones

Turkish clubs have won 19 European basketball titles in total. Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahçe have each claimed three titles in the men's EuroLeague, while Galatasaray and Darüşşafaka have each won the EuroCup once. On the women's side, Fenerbahçe has won the EuroLeague five times, with Galatasaray adding three titles. Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi and ÇBK Mersin have each won the FIBA Europe Cup once.

In the women's category, Fenerbahçe has also won the Super Cup twice. This season, Fenerbahçe Opet secured the FIBA Women's EuroLeague, while ÇBK Mersin won the FIBA Women's Europe Cup.

Fenerbahçe has been a key player in this success, contributing seven of the 19 titles. The men's team has won twice, while the women's team has won five times.

Historic Opportunity in Athens

If Fenerbahçe Beko wins the EuroLeague Final Four in Athens, the club will make history. They will become the first team to win both the men's and women's EuroLeague in the same season. This would add to the club's legacy, which already includes Turkey’s first European basketball victory in 1996, when Efes Pilsen (then Anadolu Efes) won the Koraç Cup under the leadership of Petar Naumoski.
