The Hunt for Fresh Talent

The transfer window is heating up in Bucharest, and FCSB has set their sights on a promising young prospect. Manager Marius Baciu has confirmed that the club is closely monitoring Remus Guțea, the 19-year-old left winger from newly promoted FC Voluntari. This is not a last-minute scramble; Baciu’s interest in the youngster predates his arrival at the helm of the capital’s biggest club.

Why Guțea Stands Out

Guțea is no unknown quantity. A regular starter in Liga 2 during the recently concluded season, the Romanian U20 international delivered impressive numbers. He netted seven goals and provided three assists across 32 appearances for Voluntari, showcasing the kind of attacking flair that top-tier clubs crave. His development path is solid, having cut his teeth in the youth setup at CS Mioveni before making his senior debut with the Argeș team in the 2022/2023 SuperLiga campaign.

Baciu’s Verdict

Speaking to Prima Sport, Baciu did not mince words about his admiration for the young talent. "Guțea is a good kid. He is in our sights. We have several young players in our discussions. He is a player I liked even before," the coach explained. He emphasized that his scouting work included tracking Guțea’s performances for the national youth team. "I followed him with the national team. I knew about him, I know him, but we have several underage players who are on our radar," Baciu added. With FCSB looking to inject youth and energy into their squad, Guțea represents a strategic target for the upcoming season.
