Greek sailors are entering the final stages of the European championships in Croatia and Portugal, aiming for the best possible rankings in the Olympic classes of ILCA and iQFOiL.

In Croatia, yesterday's sailing was canceled, and today's program for the ILCA 7 class features Giorgos Papadakos starting from the gold fleet, 20th in the European ranking. Adamantios Petrianos is 5th in the silver fleet of 58 boats, with 98 points, and 10th overall in the U23 category, while Athanassios Kyfidis is in 43rd place with 213 points and 32nd in the U23 category.

Spyros Provelengios is competing in the bronze fleet of 57 boats and is currently 2nd with 145.6 points.

In the corresponding championship for the Olympic class ILCA 6 women, Greek athletes continue in the silver fleet of 60 boats. After eight races, Hermioni Gika is 3rd with 141 points and 13th overall in the U23 category. Varvara Portou is 7th with 152.3 points and 16th in the U23 category, Miranta Papadaki is 34th with 274 points and 35th in the U23 category, while Maria Vlachou is 44th with 327 points.

For the open European championship of the Olympic class iQFOiL in Portugal, 13 races have been completed. In the women's category, Danae Giannouli is 23rd in the European ranking and 12th in the U23 category. Danae Pontiphis is in 33rd place overall among 75 boats from 30 countries.

Among the men, after 13 races, Alexandros Kokkinakis is 61st and 30th in the U23 category, Petros Kontarines is 67th and 33rd in the U23 category, and Leonidas Eustathios is 77th. A total of 117 boats from 35 countries are competing.
