The Erciyes Ski Center set a new record during the 2025-2026 season, hosting over 3.3 million visitors from 18 December 2025 to 15 May 2026. This marked the longest ski season in the resort's history, drawing tourists from various countries, including Japan and the UK.

Kayseri Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç announced the record-breaking season. He highlighted that the 2025-2026 season saw Erciyes welcoming approximately 1.5 million visitors each month for nearly 150 days. The ski center, with 41 pistes and four main entrances, has become one of Turkey's most significant winter tourism destinations.

Büyükkılıç emphasized that Erciyes is now among the world's leading ski resorts. "Each year, the increasing number of Turkish and foreign tourists showcases the success of our investments and international promotional efforts," he said. The quality of snow and modern facilities have elevated Erciyes to an international level.

The resort also hosted several national and international events, including the Erciyes Kökbörü Games, the Traditional Sledge Turkey Championship, and the Erciyes Snow Volleyball Tournament, contributing to the promotion of Kayseri as the 2029 World Sports Capital.

Charter flights from Poland and the Czech Republic, along with tourists from Germany, Italy, the US, the UK, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, France, Portugal, and Indonesia, flocked to Erciyes. Turkish visitors from cities like Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Antalya, Adana, Mersin, Nevşehir, Konya, Aksaray, Niğde, and Gaziantep also contributed to the resort's success.

Erciyes Now a Global Destination

Büyükkılıç noted that the success of the 2025-2026 season has made Erciyes a global destination, contributing significantly to the promotion of Kayseri as the Turkish World Culture Capital in 2027.
