Enjoying Novi Sad's Fair: Traditional Dishes and Their Costs

The Novi Sad Fair, covering 50,000 square meters of both indoor and outdoor space, has attracted a large number of visitors and vendors offering various foods. The fair offers an array of traditional dishes, including wedding cabbage, grilled meat, stews, and more.

Visitors can enjoy a diverse menu of local specialties, such as wedding cabbage, leg of lamb, roasted potatoes, grilled lamb and pork, smoked cucumber, stews, and even kajmak. Prices, as many say, are in line with the quality and quantity offered. A portion of wedding cabbage costs 1,000 dinars, and vendors emphasize that the portions are generous, often enough to satisfy two people.

Grilled lamb costs 4,000 dinars per kilogram, while pork requires around 3,500 dinars. Despite rainy and cold weather, the atmosphere at the fair is exceptionally good. Both visitors and vendors are pleased, with the venue filled to capacity, indicating high interest in such events.

The 93rd International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad has brought together 1,200 exhibitors from 40 countries. A significant part of this event is the livestock exhibition, showcasing the best genetic potential of local livestock. One of the most striking exhibits is a Simmental bull named Jablan, weighing over 1.8 tons, from the Agricultural Farm "Jeremic Brothers" in Bogatic.
