Novak Djokovic has begun preparing for the second grand slam of the season, the French Open, with the assistance of a new addition to his coaching team. Djokovic, who thanked his previous coach, Andrei Pavel, last year, has been without a primary coach for nearly a year. Boris Bosnjakovic, who has remained part of the team, has been managing the coaching duties up until now. According to reports from Sport Klub, Djokovic's new coach is Viktor Troicki, a former teammate and friend.

The exact duration of Troicki's role is unclear, but he will likely assist Djokovic during the French Open and possibly Wimbledon. Troicki's experience could help improve Djokovic's recent performance, which has not been at his usual high standard.

Troicki, in his past career, has coached Hamad Medjedovic and Miomir Kecmanovic and has been the Davis Cup selector for the Serbian team since 2021. In his playing days, Troicki reached a career-high ranking of 12th.
