Oradea and Steaua Fight for the Championship Title

The championship title is up for grabs between the reigning champion CSM Oradea and vice-champion Steaua București in a five-game series. After the first two games, the score is tied 1-1 (14-16, 11-10). The series moves to Bucharest (May 22 and May 24). An eventual decisive game will take place on May 29 (Oradea).

In the women's league, the title was won by the CSM Unirea Alba Iulia team, followed on the podium by Steaua București and Rapid București.
