Romanian champions Dinamo have secured the transfer of Swedish goalkeeper Oscar Savinger (23) for the upcoming season, as reported by ProSport. The club is already preparing for the new Champions League campaign and has made another interesting move, this time for the goalkeeper position.
Dinamo, led by experienced coach Paulo Pereira, hopes to return to the forefront in European competition, continuing to make significant transfers in the transfer market. According to ProSport, Dinamo has come to an agreement with Savinger for a two-year contract.
Savinger, who recently concluded his contract with his Swedish club Savehof, has been attracted by the prospect of playing in major European matches, as Dinamo has faced strong teams like PSG, Veszprem, Barcelona, and Magdeburg in recent years.
In the EHF European League this season, Savinger stood out, leading Savehof to the Final Four in 2024. However, Savehof narrowly missed qualifying further in the second European competition, finishing third in the group with Fredericia and Hannover-Burgdorf.
Savinger will make his first experience abroad at Dinamo, replacing Serbian goalkeeper Vladimir Cupara, who has left the club. Ionuț Iancu, who has been sidelined recently, is expected to return to the field at the start of the new season and will remain a key player for Dinamo’s goalkeeping lineup.
Under the guidance of coach Paulo Pereira, Dinamo secured the domestic title, defeating Buzău in the championship and also winning the Final Four in Timișoara.
