The Serbian entry, "Lavina," with their song "Kraj mene," secured a commendable 5th place in the first semi-final, amassing a total of 187 points. However, what stood out was the significant discrepancy in voting. While the public vote placed Serbia in 3rd position, the jury ranked them 9th.
The winner of the first semi-final was Israel, scoring 269 points, followed by Poland and Finland. The second semi-final was dominated by Bulgaria, who amassed 278 points, leaving Romania (234 points) and Australia (222 points) behind. Bulgaria ultimately claimed the overall victory, alongside the prestigious "Marcel Bezençon" award, shared with Australia and Denmark.
