Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward Ousmane Dembele left the field in the 27th minute of a match against Paris on Sunday night, in the final round of the French championship. PSG coach Luis Enrique stated after the match that he believed Dembele was substituted due to fatigue. However, the French championship later clarified that Dembele was removed as a precautionary measure.

The defending Champions League trophy holders, PSG, are set to face Arsenal in the final on May 30 at Puskás Arena in Budapest.

Last season, Dembele was one of PSG's standout players, scoring 21 goals and winning the Golden Ball. This season, his influence has been less pronounced, largely due to injuries that plagued him in the first half of the season. He has scored 10 goals and provided seven assists in 22 league matches, though he has been used less frequently by the coach.

Dembele scored in the second leg of PSG's Champions League semifinal against Bayern Munich (1:1), helping PSG advance to the final with a 6-5 aggregate victory. PSG will be fighting for their second consecutive European title at the end of the month.
