According to reports by Belgrade media, Dejan Stanković, the coach of FK Crvena Zvezda, has been accused of supporting former Serbian water polo team selector Uroš Stevanović and players who refused to play for the national team while Slobodan Soro was at the helm of the Serbian Water Polo Federation (VSS). In response to these accusations, Stanković released a public statement.
- My meeting with Jugoslav Vasović was purely friendly. We met as old friends after a long time, and our meeting had absolutely no other background or reason except for our long-standing and sincere friendship, Stanković said.
Jugoslav Vasović, the director of VK Radnički Kragujevac, noted that he had a friendly dinner with Stanković in Kragujevac.
- Since we hadn’t seen each other for a long time, we took the opportunity to catch up on missed time. Dejan is my great friend, and that was the only reason for our meeting, Vasović stated.

Stanković's response is clear and straightforward, but the whole situation is a mess. Why can't these sports officials just focus on the game instead of political nonsense? It's time to clean house and get serious about building a winning team!
