One century of history, emotion, and passion for the red and black colors. CSM Reșița, one of Romania’s traditional football teams, celebrated 100 years of existence with an anniversary gala, filled with nostalgia and hope for the club’s future. The event brought together sports personalities, local officials, and community leaders to honor the legacy of one of the most important clubs in Romanian football.
During the ceremony, commemorative plaques were awarded to individuals who have supported the club over the years and contributed to preserving the spirit of the "Rosner." Despite financial difficulties and austerity measures that have impacted the team in recent years, the community around the club has remained strong.
“It seems natural to organize this gala, as we are the main sponsor of the football team, and Mr. Gheorghe Filipescu, the general director of AquaCaraș, is a supporter. We even discussed today how long he has been supporting this football team, and he said since he can remember,” said Ionela Glodorenco, AquaCaraș’s press officer.
“Even before becoming the general director, he was with the club in good times and in less good times,” she added. The event also saw the participation of representatives from local and regional administrations, the Romanian Football Federation, and gallery leaders.
CSM Reșița deserves every bit of celebration — their resilience and passion are the heart of Romanian football. What do you think is the future of this historic club?
