Goalkeeper Gabriela Moreschi, who had already made 10 crucial saves, suffered a severe left knee injury in the 42nd minute and was forced off. Minutes later, in the 47th minute, pivot Djurdjina Jaukovic was shown a red card. Down two players, CSM Bucuresti did not fold. They leaned on their stars.
