CSKA Chief Backs "Match of Hope" in Burgas

Technical director of CSKA, Mikhail Alexandrov, has thrown his support behind the "Match of Hope," an initiative organized by the Stiliyan Petrov Foundation. The charitable event will take place on June 6 at 5 PM at Lazur Stadium in Burgas. All proceeds will be donated to individuals battling cancer.

Alexandrov expressed, "It's a great honor and privilege to be part of the 'Match of Hope,' even though I'm not part of the organizing committee this time. Stiliyan Petrov and his foundation once again extend a helping hand to those with various oncological diseases, and their initiative should not be overshadowed by any of us. I, like many others, have had a close person fight cancer, and I know how important support is for these people. Meanwhile, Lubo Penev and Petar Hubchev were my selectors in the Bulgarian national team, and my support for them will be even more special."

Alexandrov also encouraged the public to purchase tickets and fill the stadium. "Let's not divide this match into blues and reds, but into those who need help and those who are ready to provide it. On June 6, we will gather at Lazur Stadium in Burgas for the 'Match of Hope.' Support the 'Match of Hope' because people like Stiliyan Petrov, Lubo Penev, and Petar Hubchev deserve it. Not only because they were great footballers and athletes, but because they are great human beings."
