Croatian striker Antonio-Mirko Čolak became a hero for Legia Warsaw last night, securing a 2-1 victory against Lech Gdansk with a goal in the 93rd minute. Čolak entered the match in the 72nd minute when the score was tied 1:1 and was instrumental in the late win.

Only a few months ago, Legia's situation was quite different. At the beginning of December, the club was in the relegation zone, spending over three and a half months there. It seemed Legia would be fighting for survival in the lower league for the rest of the season, but a turnaround has seen the team rise to seventh place.

Croatian Striker's Key Contribution

Čolak, who joined Legia this winter from Spezia without a transfer fee, has made 20 appearances and scored four goals since his arrival in Poland. While he has been a consistent contributor, this goal against Lech Gdansk may prove to be his most significant yet.
