Croatian heavyweight Filip Hrgović (33) secured a technical knockout victory over Dave Allen (34) in the third round of their match in England's Doncaster. Allen, a local hero and favorite of the community, was cheered on by the crowd, while Hrgović faced minor provocations. A video clip captured a humorous moment before the bout, showing a local fan throwing something at Hrgović as he entered the ring. The Croatian heavyweight merely looked at the provocateur, who immediately quieted down.

The Provocateur's Humiliation

The footage shows Allen's friends laughing at the provocateur as Hrgović glanced at him. The English fan, admitting defeat, jokingly stated, "I was ready!"

Dominant Performance and Stoppage

Hrgović immediately took control of the fight, pushing Allen against the ropes and bombarding him with punches. The Croatian boxer dominated the first and second rounds with a combination of head and body strikes, while Allen's attempts were brief and ineffective. In the third round, Hrgović's right hand consistently broke through Allen's guard, forcing him to grab the ropes to catch his breath. After a series of punches, Allen's corner threw in the towel, ending the match.

This victory marks Hrgović's third consecutive win. His last bout was against David Adeleye in August last year, which he won by judges' decision, and before that, he defeated Joe Joyce in April last year, also via judges' decision. Following a loss to Daniel Dubois, Hrgović is now on the path to a world title fight, with the next challenger likely to be English boxer Moses Itauma.
