Croatian national team coach Zlatko Dalić will announce an expanded list of players competing for a spot on the national team for the upcoming World Cup today at 1 PM. The list is expected to contain between 35 and 55 names, though it could be shorter. Dalić must narrow down this list to 26 players by June 1.
The World Cup will take place from July 11 to August 19 in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Croatia will face off in Group L against England, Panama, and Ghana. Croatia's World Cup preparations will begin on May 25.
Before the World Cup, Croatia has two friendly matches scheduled. On June 2, they will play against Hungary in Rujevica, followed by a match against Slovenia in Varaždin on June 7. The team is scheduled to depart for the World Cup on June 9.
Croatia’s World Cup Schedule:
July 17 - England (10 PM)
July 24 - Panama (7 AM)
