Ciprian Deac (40) opened up about his career-ending decision in an exclusive interview with Pro TV and Sport.ro. He revealed that in the last two months, he has had difficulty sleeping, as he constantly thought about his final match.

Ciprian Deac's Emotional Confession

"It's a very difficult moment. I believe I've slept very little in the last two months because I'm thinking about my last match, the last moments I'll spend on the pitch. That's life! These moments come."

He tried to avoid these moments, but age catches up with everyone. He believes it's time to say stop and let the younger generation take the club where it belongs. Deac emphasized that the club should compete for the league, the cup, and trophies, which he has learned from his first step on the stadium.

"CFR means seriousness, performance, and I believe I've achieved that for 20 years, if I'm not mistaken," Deac declared.

"Dear Csehers, the time has come for me to say stop to my journey as a football player and to say that my last match in this jersey will be against FC Argeș. I've always wanted to retire with a full stadium and a special moment."

I look forward to seeing all of you at the stadium for my last match as a player of this team, my last match where I'll wear this beautiful jersey that has brought me so much joy. I'd like as many of you to come to say goodbye and thank you for all the support you've given me throughout my career. I embrace you and look forward to seeing you at my last match."
