Filip Hrgović knocked out Dave Allen in the third round last weekend, and another fight against Moses Itauma is on the horizon for the Croatian boxer at the O2 Arena in London. Derek Chisora, a British heavyweight boxer, spoke highly of Hrgović's return to the ring, recalling his loss to Daniel Dubois in Saudi Arabia.
Hrgović's Comeback
Chisora recalled a moment when he saw Hrgović looking broken after his loss to Daniel Dubois in Saudi Arabia. "He was a broken man," Chisora said. "But he rebuilt himself and came back. He has won a few fights since and is back with a lot of confidence."
Upcoming Fight Against Itauma
"Hrgović is a good boxer," Chisora stated. "He is an amazing boxer, and that's why they call him El Animal. The fight between him and Itauma is sure to be a good one." Chisora expressed that while his favorite is Itauma, who is known as the "new Tyson," the fight will be a tough challenge for the young Briton.
The fight between Hrgović and Itauma is scheduled for August 8th at the O2 Arena, as revealed by George Warren, son of Hrgović's promoter Frank Warren. "The contract is in my office, almost done. It's a done deal," Warren told iFL TV. "When Filip signed with Queensberry, he signed with the obligation to fight certain matches, including Moses."
