Mario Camora, the president of CFR Cluj, has spoken out about the future of the team's coach, Daniel Pancu. In the penultimate match of the Superliga, CFR Cluj secured a 0-0 draw against Dinamo, sealing their qualification for the Conference League qualifiers at the end of a challenging season. Camora, who is 39 years old, believes that Pancu, 45, will not leave the club.

Pancu took over a struggling CFR Cluj and managed to lead the team to playoff contention and a spot in European cups. His contract has been automatically extended for two more seasons, but impresario Giovanni Becali has suggested that Pancu might move to Rapid.

A veteran of the Cluj team is confident that Pancu can be convinced to stay, as he believes the coach can achieve even greater things in the upcoming seasons.

"We tried to win and see if we could reach second place. After being in the battle for relegation, I believe it was a success," Camora said.

"It was very hard. I was the first to say we would play at 11:00 AM. After Pancu's arrival, he did an extraordinary job. I don't think something like this has happened at CFR Cluj before. He did a great job, created a beautiful group. He came with so much energy to training and gave the players confidence. He gave confidence to everyone, all the players played."

"Today his contract has been extended. That's what Pancu said. Today his contract has been extended, that's what I know. They will reach an agreement, and it's better for the club and for coach Pancu."

"I wish coach Pancu would stay. After what coach Pancu has done, I think he deserves to win at least one trophy with us. I'm sure they will reach an agreement and he will stay with the club," Camora declared according to Digi Sport.

Despite qualifying the team for European cups, Pancu is not convinced he will continue at CFR Cluj. He has admitted that he has multiple offers, not just from Rapid.

"It's a decisive week. There are interested teams, not just Rapid, although I haven't negotiated anything with Rapid. Currently, CFR Cluj is certainly the primary option, but you know my reservations well, and the conditions have been tough for me," the Ardeal coach clarified.
