Captain Perišić Shines as PSV Crushes Twente 5-1

Ivan Perišić (37) continued his impressive form for PSV Eindhoven in the latest match. As captain, he led the champions to a convincing 5-1 victory over Twente in the last round of the Dutch Eredivisie. The team, coached by Peter Bosz, which secured the championship title earlier, concluded the season in an impressive manner in front of their fans. Perišić was pivotal in the early stages of the game, assisting Ryan Ferreira for the opening goal in the 16th minute from a corner kick.

Twente briefly leveled the score with an equalizer from Sondre Ørjasæter, but PSV regained the lead before halftime with a goal from Noah Fernandes. The home team then dominated the game further. Perišić's precise passing found Dennis Man for the third goal, making the score 3-1. The high-scoring victory was completed by goals from Guus Til and Ricardo Pepi, the latter from a penalty, bringing the final score to 5-1.
