Burgas-based "Deja Sport" is in negotiations with two Japanese volleyball players. One of them is a setter from Mathej Kaziski's former team, "Jay Tech," with whom the Bulgarian superstar became a champion in Japan in 2020. This player, who currently competes in the Asian Championship League, plays in position four. The libero, also from the Land of the Rising Sun, is currently playing for "Nagano" and could potentially participate in the national league with "Deja" Sport.
"We constantly communicate and clarify all the details. I hope to reach an agreement and sign both Japanese players by the end of the month," said Dr. Alexander Madzhurov, owner and president of "Deja."
Additionally, the team is looking to recruit two central blockers, a position four player, and a second setter who will learn from the former national champion on that position, Georgi Bratoev. All these players will be Bulgarian.
This move by "Deja Sport" could totally revitalize the Bulgarian league! But I can't help but wonder, will the Japanese talent bring enough excitement or do we need more international flair? What do you think, fans?
