The concrete heats up, the sneakers squeak, and the future of Serbian basketball arrives in Novi Sad. Under the blazing June sun, the "Novi Sad EURO 2026" 3x3 tournament exploded onto the courts of the Big Shopping Center, bringing together the next generation of hoop dreams. This wasn't just a game; it was a legacy in motion, spearheaded by the legendary Dušan Bulut.

The Legend Returns

Four-time world champion. Two-time MVP. Dušan "Domović" Bulut didn't just show up; he brought the fire. As the initiator of this massive youth event, Bulut watched 16 mixed teams of boys and girls, all under 14, battle it out in the heart of Vojvodina. These aren't just kids playing pick-up; they are the raw talent of New Sad, competing under strict FIBA 3x3 rules with every single match broadcast live on TV Arena Sport.

"I am truly proud," Bulut declared, his voice echoing the passion of a man who knows the weight of the jersey. "We are creating opportunities for new generations to dream big, play basketball, and develop true sports values. I hope their talent on the court will prove that the future of 3x3 basketball in Serbia is bright."

New Sad: The European Stage

The timing is no accident. Novi Sad holds the prestigious title of European Capital of Sport 2026. This tournament is a cornerstone of that program, turning the city into a playground for athletic excellence. Bulut sees this as a debt repaid to the sport that gave him everything.

"Permanent organization of such events is the way to ignite a love for 3x3 in the youngest fans," Bulut explained. "This sport gave me so much. Now, my engagement is directed toward giving back a part of that to basketball in Serbia. I want to pass on my experience to these children. This is only the first of a series of actions we will carry out with the BG 3x3 league in New Sad this summer."

Eyes on Poland

While the kids sweat in Vojvodina, Bulut’s eyes are also fixed on the global stage. The Serbian national team is currently battling it out at the World Championship in Poland. The legend isn't holding back on his praise.

"Our selection looks very strong," Bulut assessed. "They stand out in quality at this championship. They are well-drilled and tactically the best team at the tournament. They have refreshed their game with Milutinović, a true shooter and defensive specialist. They have enough experience. I hope they stay brave until the end, stick to what they’ve been doing, and bring a medal home."

From the local courts to the world stage, the message is clear: Serbia’s basketball heartbeat is strong, loud, and unbreakable.
