The president of the Bulgarian volleyball federation, Lubomir Ganev, gathered the national women's team before an open training session to deliver a motivational speech. He was accompanied by the coordinator of the national teams, Nikolay Ivanov, and a member of the Management Board, Dimitar Tonev.

"I feel very well. The team is rejuvenated, the coaching staff has changed, and we are preparing and feeling good. The atmosphere is very pleasant," said Borislava Sajkova.

"We will do everything possible to come out of as many matches as possible with a positive result for us. Every player who worked with Lorenzo Michel will have additional motivation to prove themselves in matches with his team now, and especially to prove themselves to our coach. Every coach has a different strategy, and we are still adapting to his style of play. There are a lot of changes, but it’s normal. He expects us to be disciplined and focused, and that’s what we need to achieve," said the player from champion Maritsa Plovdiv.
