Bulgarian swimmers Petar Miciin and Gabriela Georgieva have won the men's and women's cups at the International Swimming Tournament, "Burgas Grand Prix - Mayor's Cup 2026." Miciin triumphed with a total of 2491 points, followed by Daren Kyirilov ("Dorostol") and Constantin Malachi (Moldova). On the final day of the tournament, a representative from the "Vihren" club won the 200-meter freestyle sprint. The 21-year-old swimmer completed the distance in 1:47.73 minutes.

In the women's category, Gabriela Georgieva took the cup with 2334 points, followed by Diana Petkova ("Sprint Sofia") and Emanuelia Leu (Moldova). In her last start, Georgieva finished second in the 50-meter backstroke with a time of 29.64 seconds. She was outpaced only by Leu, who was 0.10 seconds faster. In the same discipline, Siyana Mitova set a new junior girls' record. The "Olymp" club swimmer finished third in the final with a time of 30.85 seconds.

On the third day of the tournament at "Park Arena OZK," our representatives achieved six victories in individual disciplines. Nikolay Zdravkov from the "Asteri" club recorded success in the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 23.00 seconds. Diana Petkova was the fastest in the 100-meter breaststroke with a result of 1:10.45 minutes. Valentin Filipov ("Asteri") won the 50-meter backstroke with 25.89 seconds. Simona Ivanova ("Olymp") took the gold medal in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:06.21 minutes, and Viktor Hristov was first on the podium in the 50-meter butterfly with a result of 24.49 seconds.

In the overall ranking for the "Mayor's Cup," Moldova's team came out on top with 47,346 points, followed by representatives from VSI and "Briiz." The Moldovans secured the first position in the individual ranking for men, while the VSI team triumphed in the women's category.
